Publication Ethic

Semar is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and preventing any form of publication malpractice. This publication ethics statement applies to authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.

1. Duties of Authors

Authors are required to:

  • Submit original manuscripts that have not been published or submitted elsewhere.

  • Properly cite all sources and references used in the manuscript.

  • Ensure that all listed authors have made significant contributions to the work.

  • Disclose any conflicts of interest and sources of funding, if applicable.

  • Present data, methods, and results honestly and accurately.

  • Revise manuscripts in accordance with reviewers’ and editors’ recommendations.

2. Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for:

  • Making editorial decisions based on academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

  • Ensuring a fair, objective, and confidential peer review process.

  • Preventing conflicts of interest in editorial decision-making.

  • Maintaining editorial independence from non-academic influences.

  • Addressing allegations of publication misconduct in a transparent and professional manner.

3. Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Conduct reviews objectively, constructively, and in a timely manner.

  • Maintain confidentiality of the manuscripts under review.

  • Identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.

  • Declare any conflicts of interest and decline review assignments when necessary.

4. Conflicts of Interest

All parties involved in the publication process (authors, editors, and reviewers) must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the evaluation of the manuscript.

5. Handling of Ethical Misconduct

The journal will investigate and take appropriate action regarding any alleged ethical misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, and duplicate publication, in accordance with the journal’s policies.
